About Gill Chambers

Having enjoyed a long career in market research spanning some 30+ years, I founded my new research consultancy, Big Tent Research, in September 2016, with fresh energy and new perspectives amidst the challenging economic climate that we face today.
I have worked on both client and agency sides, so I fully understand the operational aspects of these roles, and appreciate the needs and challenges of both.
My main areas of expertise and interest are in food & beverage, retail, education, young people and B2B. As well as being a highly experienced research practitioner, I am also a fully qualified secondary school teacher (French and German) and have taught 11-18 year olds for a number of years. With research projects of an educational/teen nature I am able to combine my two professional skills, and I bring to the table a real understanding of my audience.
I bring to projects a unique blend of solid and reliable research know-how and project management, working flexibly to suit a project’s or client’s needs. This could mean working in a supporting role as part of a team, managing projects within a client’s organisation, or being commissioned to conduct research projects as a full-service research agency.
I look forward to working with you.
